W5 trip
We arrived on a cold Thursday morning very excited about the day ahead. We got on the bus with high hopes that the day will be good. It was great to have a break because of the exams from the past few days. It was a long bus journey in which we sang songs and played our iPods.
We arrived at W5 and we were very happy to be there after two hours on the bus. We all walked to the reception. The first thing that caught our was a circle. When you push down the circle smoke comes out from the gap on the circle. We put our bags into plastic trolleys. Before we got paired off we saw a big marble sphere with water all around it.
When we got paired off in four groups my group went to a exhibition which contained many things like airplane and boat simulators ,tug of war towers and a plastic ball which we could float in the air. It was great and we were sad when we had to leave. When we left we all went to grab some lunch. They had a cafe which had sandwiches, bars, drinks. It was different because of the different currency because we used sterling instead of euros.
After we went to another exhibition which we thought was the best exhibition there. It contained cameras which we could use to film ourselves in random places doing random things. That was very popular with everyone. There was another game where there was a green-screen and you could do a multiple number of games like volleyball and penalty shootouts. We used our body to control the game.
There was a musical harp that you used lasers instead of strings. After that a staff member brought us to a workshop but first we has to cross glass bridge. It was three storeys down to the ground. Many people were uncomfortable crossing the bridge. We went into the workshop and the guide said we had to make a car out of k-nex. We had a race and there were some impressive cars. We had races and on the final a cheater was present and sabotaged the final by stopping the winning car to cross the line.
After the races we left the room and went to get our bags. We got our things and we left from W5. We were sad to go. We had a great time there and we would like to go again.
