The Student Council was founded in order to give an effective and united system of student representation within Castleknock College and to give all students the opportunity to make a difference and improve our school.
Every year, elections are held within each year group to decide which students are elected to serve on the council. It is then the job of the elected Student Councillor to raise any issues regarding the school. Meetings are held weekly in the meeting room located near the Concert Hall.
Some of the areas the Student Council is involved in are:
- Lost & Found
- Student ID Cards
- The Ref
- Union Day Committee
- Sports Day Organisation
- Sports facilities
- Fundraising
- Flag-raising nominations
If you wish to raise any ideas regarding these areas or indeed any other area, you can talk to either your councillor for your class/year or any officer of the council.
